I love to have a creative outlet that I don't want to monetize and couldn't if I wanted to

I love to throw half-baked ideas on the table and know that the response is going to be to riff off of them instead of some weirdo finding them out of context and ruining my day

I love to create for an audience so specific it's literally five people

Anyway creative play is great, highly recommend making stuff up just for the fun of it and not even allow the possibility of turning whatever it is into a Thing

I ran game over text message on Discord. I loved creating campaigns and seeing how my players reacted. For me, a "Campaign" is not like a things that take many years, but more like a season of a tv show, but that still sounds too rigide, it's more a vague outline, some events and a set of tools to help me improvise. I want to collaborate with the players, not dictate the story. Sometimes I ran campaigns for a single player, and I could really go into their backstory and create problems based on who their character were, which would be awkward in a multi-player campaing. I mostly use Fate, and I like the Dresden Files City Sheet, where you think about the city in which the adventure take place, come up with a general theme and what faction live in it. That being said, I don't run game as often as I used to because having to type take a lot of time and effort, and my players are not comfortable using voice chat.
