Also this week, the student unionization movement saw an incredible victory! The California State University Employees Union has successfully unionized 20,000 undergraduate students in what is believed to be the largest such union formed. 7,252 votes were cast in this election and 7,050 of them were in favor of unionization—a 97% rate despite the incredibly large bargaining unit size. Needless to say: the student unions are alright, and they are perhaps the greatest hope for unions going forward.
