I have accepted my mom's love language is talking about the weather. She will ask about the weather here and tell me about the weather there. She has a widget on her phone that tells her the weather in Chicago (where I am and she is not) and she will send me screenshots of the weather forecast that I also get on my phone because I live here and also go outside to experience. She sends me screenshots (but not links) of articles about the weather from Chicago media and ask me to confirm. It's fine, I know it's just the higher tech, long distance version of "put on a sweater I love you"
That said, she didn't say anything about the tornado watch yesterday or the snow today so I need to check on her
