Update on Twitter, if anyone was considering going back:
You can no longer block ads.
Worse, this popup shows up whenever you try and the site is so fucked lately that it literally makes it unusable. Regardless of what I tap, the popup stays and the timeline won't load until I quit the page and load a new one. I could not subscribe if I wanted to lmao
You can still click through and manually block the account lol
