learned this term yesterday and im mad at how well it seems to capture the way the US economy works

It's not a boom and bust economy, it's a beezzle economy.
Almost every gods damned thing worth a bunch always has been and a lot of stuff that's desperate to hold on is pivoting on their own or to an extreme after getting purchased.
And on a less depressing note, now I want to read some Steven Brust as well as Doctorow's two (so far) Martin Hench novels.
