trying to sort my bookmarks for the first time in at least 6 years and half the shit I had saved redirects to a "this domain is available" sales page or simply won't load

  1. I will learn nothing from this, I will continue to hoard information in the least usable way possible, forget about it, and then lose it forever, therefore just... not saving the information, but with extra steps

  2. Where is that post about expecting the ephemeral and how the internet is just a constant "now" because oof ouch my bookmarks

in reply to @NoelBWrites's post:

it is embarrassing how many of my bookmarks are just pages that list other pages I want to save...

You know that instinct to hoard plastic bags into other plastic bags that all humans have? I channel it into lists of links that I think are neat

Oh dear, i channel mine into amassing a frankly staggering digital library of survival and craft info in pdf form, even got a file scraper and downloaded archive dot orgs entire military library because im so obsessive about hoarding information

The wayback machine internet archive is a godsend for when this happens

There’s so many times where I’ll need sometbing in an article from a website that no longer exists and archive.org has it saved. It’s amazing
