I think a lot of people on the left ignore it because it's got state in the name, but it's much more about how every time you turn something into a metric, you lose the human details, and you lose more for every hop it takes.
but: it's also a how-to guide on what makes you easy to analyze, vs how you can intentionally make it harder.
if you're in software it's a useful read too. everyone, really. it's a little dry, I treated it like a podcast with the audiobook the first time.
