Thinking about how certain people are expected to suffer at least a little bit, work at least a little bit extra, be frustrated at least a little bit, just so everyone else can ignore them comfortably.

I think everyone would benefit from watching this Alt-Right playbook (or read the transcript, also in the link), just to keep it in mind. What's "not so bad" that I'm expecting other people to shoulder so I don't have to think about it?

This is also one of those places where liberals very easily drift into full reaction because one of the defining characteristics of liberalism is not wanting to be bothered

It also sneaks up on leftists because in order to acknowledge that there is an issue, let alone (minimally) alter our behavior around it, we need to acknowledge that we do actually hold power over other people. At least in this specific instance (whatever the issue may be), we have privilege others don't, we have power over them. And that's really uncomfortable to realize.
