Most: pickles

Why?

People are pro or anti, middle ground. They're dividing us and tearing this country apart.
They make everything else taste like pickles. Imperialist flavor.
Lots of things can be pickled but when we say "pickle" everybody knows it just means "dill pickled cucumber". Cultural erasure of other pickles.
I don't like them

Least: potato

Why?

Boil them, mash them, stick them in a stew

I'm not going to take this pickle bait because that is clearly OFF TOPIC in a vegetable discourse! You can pickle anything!

Anyway yes potatoes are flawless and perfect. The most problematic vegetable is definitely celery, a stringy mess that tastes like nothing and has a repulsive texture.

πŸ™„ the pickle defenders are at it again. This is part of the problem with pickles: everyone knows you mean "pickled cucumber" when you just say "pickle" but as soon as I correctly point out the many sins of pickles it's all "you can pickle anything"

Celery is on thin ice

Least: Spinach - It makes Popeye strong enough to save Olive Oyl from that dastardly Bluto.

Most: Spinach - It is a constant temptation for our professional athletes, who dream of big muscles and healthy bones, but are forbidden from using it's game-altering properties to enhance themselves unnaturally, in defiance of God's laws.

celery? member of the mirepoix trinity? where would a hearty chicken soup or pasta salad be without her invigorating peppery flavor and delicate crunch?

worst vegetable gotta be artichoke. what a scam. "you scrape the meat off with your teeth!" oh so it's an elaborate garbage flower with a little bit of food stuck on it? "but the heart!" that's three bites of a weird, fussy texture. you are paying for the illicit thrill of eating an ornamental plant

Look I tolerate celery exactly because of its mirepoix role. However: using the green part of a leek instead of a celery makes a better soup base and I'm tired of pretending otherwise

Artichoke? You mean the main ingredient of artichoke dip, also known as the best dip??
