I dunno. I count myself so lucky that even with my (arguably relatively minor) popularity on tumblr, I've never really got severe trasmisogynistic/transphobic hate outside of copy-paste asks. But even then like.... seeing so many friends, so many other people, especially other transfems, be blatantly kicked off of a website, and not even have a place like Cohost, which at least from my perspective is almost exclusively selling itself as "A better tumblr!", be safe for them. It's just so tiring and depressing. I can't really bring myself to post here when i check back in every few days and see some new bullshit about trans women still being harassed and seemingly nothing is being done about it. The fact that Fucking Twitter of all places is a safer space than Cohost for my friends is beyond reproach.

Like.... Avery was literally stalked by the CEO of Tumblr onto Twitter, another big public-facing website, had to deal with him repeatedly harassing her there, and she still feels safer there than here. I can't understate how much of a Bad Sign that is for Cohost.

twitter is not a safer place for us than cohost? am i missing some stuff that happened after? because as far as i'm aware two transfems (myself being one) were told to kill themselves and mods gave the perpetrators a warning each. where is the part where transfems are being tone policed on the internet
