Well yeah man that's the thing. If you had a machine that allowed you to move between parallel universes, the chances that you'd reach a universe that was SIGNIFICANTLY different than your own would be pretty infinitesimally small — since the amount of changes that could occur are basically infinite, but a “close” universe would be easier to travel to (since the changes would be minimal or few). It's something you'd just have to keep an eye out for to realize what was different in each place you were. It'd always be the small things.
