I can see from the few comments that this was an extremely poor decision already.
Like i am not surprised by people saying 'get your politics out of anime, this isnt antisemitic' and the like but its so grim out there
The top review that says "stop inserting politics" is remarkable; obviously it's bad-faith nonsense from someone who didn't actually watch it, but angel cop is the thing that inserts the politics! It's not symbolic, or open to interpretation! It's literal! It's printed on the screen!
I’m genuinely shocked it ever got any sort of rerelease for this exact reason, but stripping their warnings out for the streaming version is a very dangerous call.
It strikes me as just "nobody thought about this". It would really suck to watch this anime sight unseen and get hit by the stuff at the end. The video defaults to subs, too, so that's the version you'll probably see. Back in the day even the sub version had the script altered: you had to actually know what they were saying to know that that was what they were saying.
