Seriously just watch it. I've tried a couple times now to write about why you should without saying too much about it, without success. So just trust me on this one.

While we're at it, Freiren is superlative and that is a HUGE relief because it's the sort of manga that sets a tone that feels like a challenge to adapt. I watched the first 5 episodes then immediately reread the rest of it. It's so damn good.

Other than that, I haven't seen anything that really jumps out at me this season - I'm In Love With The Villainess starts strong but I'm not sure if it can sustain itself on the basis of a single joke. I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness feels plagiarized from (the much funnier and more sincere) A Story About an Old Man Who Teaches Bad Things to a School Girl. The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me sticks in my craw because if you were going to do a story with this exact premise, It's Not Meguro-san's First Time is just so much better - in particular having a couple whose delicate emotional conditions play off each other in a way that feels like chemistry (and not coincidentally has a male lead you can actually root for).

Any suggestions for other stuff to watch are much appreciated.

UPDATE: they adapted the episode of Spy x Family - the one where Yor is shot in the butt and has to pretend she's fine around her family and wouldn't you know it, hijinks ensue - that I was most upset got left out of season 1. A promising start!
