Windows ME never ceases to amaze.
I remember using the Active Desktop feature that was in at least Windows 2000 to arrange gifs on my desktop, but luckily 2000 was far more stable than ME.
My recollection of this was just hitting 'use as desktop background' on an animated gif and it just happening, stretched out to the full screen, quickly overpowering my poor laptop's processor.
