am i dumb or are accessibility features on the web just a pain in the ass, like has anyone who made a website ever tried navigating without a mouse? how the fuck do people do this? this is some bullshit for real; if there are better ways than caret browsing and tab/shift-tab please inform me because i strongly feel like it should work nicer than this but it is not working nicer than this

I think the vast majority of people making websites just don't think about it, but there are also browser extensions like Vimium that let you press a button to go into quick link navigation mode like so:
If you want to learn Vim the old Unix text processor then Firefox has an extension that works like it and I've seen my weird NixOS roommate fly around websites without a mouse.
