some people, but not all, actually find that in the onset period of a (capital C) Common or Classical migraine, (i.e. the aura period) cumming can actually abort the migraine (as can vigorous ;hysical activity, puking, or other activities which excite the CNS. see also: migraine-aborting drugs only being effective in this onset period).
if you dont get the frame perfect cummies tho, it wont help, and if you do it WITHIN the migraine, it will hurt. also it doesnt work for everyone. i dont think it works for me, but i actually havent tried it because i only learned about this after reading sacks' book migraine a few weeks ago, and my (capital C) Common Migraines only happen every few months and none of this applies to mixed tension migraines, probably, which is what most of my migraines are. tension migraines are not mentioned in Migraine as far as i know (i read it in a nonlinear fashion so its possible i missed a chapter), so idk shit about them
The reason why is because cumming releases happy chemicals, namely seratonin, whixh migraines are thought to be caused by a sudden dip in. Another way to abort or fix a migraine is to eat walnuts as they are high in seratonin~
