Running an experiment testing the hydrogen evolution/contamination degredation of graphitic carbon nitride in dye, in carbon quantum dots, in dye and CQDs with a single dye control.
If my hypothesis is correct, the dye ones with gCN should see their dye get destroyed and turn clear, as well as lose water volume, and the ones with quantum dots and dye should also see dye destruction but should have even lower water levels, and the dye control measures for dye color and ambient water level loss to evaporation. Water level loss not from evap is a sign of photocatalytic hydrolysis, and dye destruction is testing its ability to destroy pollutants.
If the gCN and QD mix evolve hydrogen then i may have the solution ivw been looking for to dry my QDs but also to build my silly test hydrogen fuel cell.
its working! There are gas bubbles rising to the surface on everything except the dye control
It honestly looks like im fermenting fruit juice in some of them with the color and the bubbles, but its just plain dye water being split into hydrogen and oxygen :p
