A ship, among many in a fleet of liveships traveling through space, a meteroid smashes through the hull, the automatic airlocks kick in and contain the breach. Isabella Graza, captain of the ship and second of fleet admiral Florence Kades, ordered a squad of guardsman to take a sample of the object, to determine how it penetrated her state of the art hull.

3 men and 2 women armed with stock security armor and assault rifles marched down to the impact site, the breach already sealed with a localized energy field. The team moved in carefully, finding the sizzling heap of matter in what was a vacant barracks, empty because the ship was understaffed. Upon closer inspection the mass didnt appear to be rock and metal, but flesh and bone. After the sizzling of cooking flesh ceased it began to stick to the spot it landed in, growing and adhering to the cold metal.

The head guard, Feona called the captain in a panic "its not a meteroid! Its a biomass! This barracks is contaminated! Vent the barracks as soon as we are out!" She shouted as she led her squad out of the barracks.

The airlock sealed behind the squad, and the barracks was vented into space. The squad untensed and began returning to their posts. Feona went to the crew quarters at the back of the ship, her shift was ending, and she grew weary from the sudden excitement. She collapsed on her bed, falling asleep nearly instantly.

A red alert sounded, the ship was boarded by unknown entities, captain Isabella ordered a squad of guards to the aft of the ship where the sensors picked up the intruders, one of her guards was a wayward channeler, an extradimensionally attuned human who would periodically be possessed by humans of similar mindset to his own. He came under possession during his deployment, eyes rolling back and collapsing.

"That cant be good.." One guard said, remembering that while the possessions were benevolent, they often proceeded horrific tragedy.

The channeler arose with a focus, and turned to the squad leader with horror in his eyes, then said "we have to stop it... We have to eject the aft of the ship now!"

He called for the squad to retreat but the squad leader belayed that order, and said "we must save everyone we can, the aft is where most of our civilians and workers are... We cant function without them!"

The channeler looked into the squad leader's eyes and said "its most of us, or all of us..."

A banging was coming from a nearby airlock, louder, and louder, the captain called the squad and said "look alive, unknown intruders approaching your location, airlock integrity failing in 2 mikes."

The squad turned to the airlock, weapons ready, the channeler got in position and whispered "its too late..."

The airlock burst open, and an entity that looked all too familiar stepped through, it was Feona, with her red hair, her freckles, but her skin was gray, her body growing grotesque black tentacles, her eyes lifeless. A twisted version of her voice rose from her unmoving lips "join us, i am finally... Happy..."

The team opened fire on Feona, ripping into her flesh, which only slowed her down, the channeler retreated early and left the squad to their fate, hearing the sounds of screaming and gunfire. Calling the captain "captain! Im not from here, i have possessed your channeler, the thing you face is from my realm, a monster that will consume all! You must decouple the sectors of the ship where its DNA is present or it will just regrow and consume everything and everyone!"

The captain knew what it meant that the channeler would be so concerned, and being a woman of action she responded "it cant be done from the bridge, the controls arent responding... There is something siphoning power and i need you perform a manual bypass from engineering around the corrupted circuits so bridge power is restored, can you do that?"

The channeler answered "yes, but i need a flamethrower, bullets wont work to contain this.... And every moment you lose more of your ship... For reasons i dont understand i cant be possessed by this monster.. You need to stay on the bridge and be ready to eject at a moment's notice."

The captain responded "there are flamethrowers in the armory in engineering, i keep an armory in every sector just in case..."

The channeler rushed to the armory in engineering, noticing biomasses arising in corridors on its way it burned whatever it saw before starting the bypass, the biomasses began spawning new bodies, rebirthing Feona and the squad it subsumed earlier.

"Why must you poison others against me? You fail to grasp the gift i offer..." They spoke in unison as they approached the channeler. He turned the flamethrower on them and burned them alive as they screeched in agony. He completed the bypass and reported his success over the radio "its done! Start decoupling to slow down its growth then decouple the areas i leave until there is no more of this thing!"

The captain replied "already on it, good work!" The sound of ship parts separating shook through the hull, and the channeler made his way to the bridge. As he traveled through the ship he ran into more and more monsters, burning them until he ran out of flame fuel, dropping the flamethrower as the voice of the monster echoed around him. "Stop struggling, i am not evil, you rejected my gifts, but these entities are more receptive..."

The channeler finally got ahead of the biomass corruption and reached the bridge. Seeing Isabella at her station at the helm, her back turned to the door. He spoke "purge the rest of the ship... It grew faster than expected, we are the only ones left..." Panting as he tried to catch his breath.

Isabella turned in her chair, revealing dead eyes, gray skin, tentacles, black veins crawling up her neck. She spoke "you lost, you will always lose... Its one thing to reject me, deny me, betray me... But to doom others? To force your views, your will on these humans? To deny them choice with your lies? You are... Shameless..."

The channeler despaired, but gave the creature no words, he grabbed the sidearm he had, and fired it at Isabella's head, not enough to kill her but enough to stun her momentarily. He rushed to the console and started a self destruct sequence, as Isabella regenerated from her gunshot wound to the head she rose and started her approach, the channeler bypassing the countdown and forcing a core explosion, immediately destroying the ship along with the biomasses on it.
