And it's basically the endgame for me and a whole lot of other people who were barely hanging on.
Tweetdeck is becoming a paid-only feature, and "new" Tweetdeck is being forced (which has half the features and is laggy and buggy as shit). We don't know when, but presumably pretty soon.
I said this was my red line. Here and no further. When Tweetdeck dies, I go with it.
I don't know what to do without Twitter. I rely on it pretty heavily for social interaction and losing it puts me in a pretty impossible place. But I genuinely don't think I can keep using it without Tweetdeck. It's too much of a fucking usability nightmare.
I'm gonna be really, really lost pretty soon. Cohost can't fill the void that Twitter will leave - it's great for blogging, but it's not a news resource, it's not chatting-friendly, and I can't sort and organize it.
This sucks. This just straight-up sucks.
Just gonna add to this, I'm probably going to have a lot more human contact bandwidth once this change goes through so if anyone wants to indoctrinate me into any cults and/or polycules, now is probably the time.
i've seen staff talk about it. they are aware. lol
also, i have a userstyle fix. with the bar the left hand side it's clear enough how things are nested that i just kill all the extra space. i can easily read the entire list of comments.
edit: add the styles under the cut. also, my styles include extra colors via box-shadows to make the bar 3d.
