Going to post my drone builds and notes on here too, as I like seeing what people put in frames I wanna buy, but dunno what fits. So I'm giving back by posting what I come up with.

FC/ESC: iFlight Beast F7 V2

I like this flight controller overall, but it has a few issues once I swapped this drone to digital. VBat is only available over the DJI connector, which means I had to make a JST cable to get it. I don't like using VBat for walksnail as they have regulators vs boost/buck converters and so the closer you are to 9v, the less hot it gets, by a lot. I'd get something with a 9V BEC next time.

Motors: Ummagawd Aerolight 2004 2400kv

This motor basically goes with this frame, and it does indeed work great, though you can see one of the motor wires is sticking out. This is because this particular motor had it's wires mounted in the wrong position. No matter which way I install it, this is as good as it gets, only cosmetic, but as the others are so pretty, it makes me sad. I've smashed the hell outta these. I've run 3 and 2 blade props, and I've smacked em with tools and such by accident and not one failure yet.

Frame: Ummagawd 2fiddy

Easily the best sub-250 five inch frame, but to get under 250, you will suffer. It's hard to build in, difficult to assemble, has NO instructions except a youtube video, and some of the holes weren't the right size and I needed to redrill them. Once I got it built though I loved it, except for the battery wire placement they recommend, as it puts the wires in deep prop danger.

VTX/Camera: Walksnail Avatar

The only one that works with my goggles. I do love this system though. DJI quality, without the problematic war crimes and anti-consumer practices. I originally had a Rush tank mini in there too which made it VERY light. If you do analog, that's the obvious VTX.
