had some thoughts about Sheppard and You on twitter, which oughta also be here (I'm not actually on twitter all that much these days, mostly for art and local organizing news):

The strange thing about being 17 chapters and three months into Sheppard & You is rereading the beginning and going "oh damn, I'll be rewriting the shit out of this".

Sheppard & You is essentially a draft, I guess? I wrote a fun thing while I had a migraine and time to kill and then I kept adding to it until it became a novella, and only six chapters in does it feel like it's got pacing and plans, but in the interest of not letting work wallow in nothingness of my harddrive next to all the other work I've done, after years of not even being able to do any writing or art or any creative practice, I said "fuck it, it gets posted".

The plan is to eventually have Sheppard & You on my website, all edited nice, with epub/pdf/print versions, but in the meantime I have the last chapters to write (and also the sequel and also a short story), so that's a ways off. So please enjoy rough draft your monster boyfriend.
