My game STREET UNI X is currently the target of a bullshit harassment campaign, with people rolling up to accuse me and the game of "using DEI" and suggesting I worked with DEI consulting firms in the development of the game (which I don't think would be a problem but also just straight up isn't true). These accusations are coming because my funders Weird Ghosts also funded Sweet Baby Inc. who has been a larger target of harassment due to their broader consultant work on much bigger games throughout the 'games industry'.
It's bonkers to me that of all the people they are targeting for "ruining video games" it's me, who made this small game about a niche sport im obsessed with, with a tiny team (one sound designer, one 3d prop artist, with the rest predominantly done by myself or one off contracts with bands / graphic designers)
I couldn't even AFFORD a consulting firm if I wanted to hire one, and these people think there's some cabal behind the scenes in the Weird Ghosts meetings like, forcing me to work with Sweet Baby Inc. or something. It's fully just ignorant echo chamber brain rot.
Anyway the result of this is my game is appearing on the top of the list of "anti woke" game websites, and as a result is rallying a bunch of bigoted chuds to SUX's discussion forums to call me slurs, make up stuff about how the game was developed, and to brag about how they aren't going to buy it.
Honestly, i think they are mostly just pissed off that I'm a transgender person who appears shamelessly in the trailer of my own video game (i don't even say I'm transgender im literally just riding my unicycle) and this makes the bigots terribly uncomfortable enough to come for me and try to "fight" to make sure my game doesn't sell or something.

I don't want to get too into it but I am also dealing with other vectors of harassment unrelated to this right now as well, in the form of hateful comments on videos of me riding my unicycle, and i'm honestly barely able to bear it, so any support I get right now boosts my spirit big time and helps me literally stay alive!!
