Was really interested in this when it was announced and then I just, never got around to it for years and hardly heard anyone talk about it. the honor of being one of the first games that caused people to blow gaskets over it being on egs iirc.
I think the ocean gets fucked up and you have to shoot....giant crabs? Seems sick.
I'd forgotten exactly what the premise of this game was. A unknown virus gets released from the melting permafrost, sea life begins showing strange mutations and unnatural aggression. As strange mists start enveloping the coasts and strange alien-like monsters begin appearing and the landscape becomes twisted into something bizarre. Cities became empty as people begin walking into the ocean by the thousands. Now the mists are returning, crabs are angry and weird looking, and the Phoenix Project is your xcom, resurrected to try and protect what people remain. good setup
Also the first thing I'd heard about this game, which I thought was pretty neat, was this. You don't have direct %'s like in xcom, but circles showing where your attack will go, and the ability to manually aim for specific parts.
