whenever someone talks about predicting the next 25 years or whatever I think about that 1984 episode of The Computer Chronicles where one of the show's regular tech watchers insisted that he just didn't see a future for the newly-released Macintosh, because Apple didn't cater to corporate clients the way that Intel did and really that's the only thing that matters in modern computing.
