At last, a measure of peace now that the clown he had allied himself with had departed. A moment to himself to contemplate.

The plan was simple enough. This Fandaniel would kidnap one of the “Warriors of Light”, and Zenos would steal their body. While his dear friend was so desperately trying to catch up, Zenos would use the disguise to get in close with the Warriors’ friends and kill them. His friends, his partners in the thrill of combat, would have no choice but to seek him out for his long awaited duel.

Ah, but which of the five Warriors should they kidnap? It would need to be one whose short absence would not necessarily raise suspicion, one who he could easily pretend to be until the time is right for the hunt to begin.

The Miqo’te was always eager to do “good” for others. It made the bile rise in his throat. No, she would not do. He could not bring himself to pretend to be her for even a second.

That Xbr’aali was not much better. While her love of the hunt was apparent and appealing, she was far too outgoing. No matter how hard he tried, he would be caught immediately.

The Lalafell? Stern and protective, quick to anger. It would weaken the “heroes” immensely were he to be Zenos’ target, making the rest of the plan much easier. Ah, but that emotionality… far too much effort.

Perhaps the Hyur? Reserved, less driven to emotional impulse than the others, much better than the others. And yet, he still wore his heart on his sleeve and his “caring for others” was ever apparent.

Oh, but of course. The Viera. The most stoic of the five. Always off in the corner, never opening up. He had seen it in all of their encounters. Not a single emotion allowed to leak out. They were perfect. None of them would be all too surprised should the Viera vanish for a short time, and maintaining the disguise until the time was right would be trivial.

Soon, the plan could begin.
