ngl shit has hit the fan faster than we can keep up. The Tumblr CEO is digging himself the deepest fucking grave as he tries to justify his shitty behaviour. It's become a spectacle.

This is the Tumblr CEO, justifying why trans women in general, and one specific trans woman, keep being deleted as a consistent moderation action. As a note, most of the stuff he lists as "reasons" for the moderation were stated to be untrue to Avery by the staff moderation team over the past few months, but are suddenly held up as the sole reason now that he's having to scramble for reasons why this is so consistent.

Hey sorry I didn't reply! I still new to cohost, but a girl named Avery has been harassed for nearly two years by terfs and such and staff has never helped her. She posted a transition timeline a few months ago, completely sfw, fully clothed above the shoulders, and that post got marked as sexually explicit. She sent in a thing saying no it's not and they unmarked it, just to remark it again. She kept pushing that it's not explicit, and her blog got deleted for sexually explicit imagery. She went on her second blog telling everyone what happened, and the transfem communities of Tumblr have been dealing with rampant harassment for months now and it seemed like this was a tipping point cuz everyone has slammed staff, matt the CEO and etc about the harassment and the bigotry of Tumblr.

Then the CEO responded, and he misgendered Avery and accused her of threatening the lives of staff. When pushed he called Avery "it" and posted a screenshot that's just goofy and not a death threat. He spent hours arguing and DMing people, the CEO did this. And with each new post he dug a deeper hole. And he's looking at a pr nightmare cuz trans people are talking about leaving Tumblr for good.
