The Singularity, grey goo, "AI risk", all these fake problems or future scenarios are entirely based on capitalist ideas of infinite growth holding true in real life. None of these are real things.
It's easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism so that's exactly what all the "rationalist" freaks did.
