I really wish more sites would consider this. A common pattern in discourse is to use images, which inevitably leads to toxic interactions seeping into otherwise text-only conversations. Images are extremely profitable (did you know? most major social media sites sell your images to collectors looking for new unique images) and this incentivizes them to emphasize images over text.

Cohost is the only major top-5 social media site to not support image uploads, and I think this more than anything else has had a major effect on site-wide conversations, making them healthier and textier than anywhere else. BlueSky, conversely, supported images from day 1 (one) and look at where that's got them.
