I know this is like a really common question so feel free to just ignore it, but do you have any advice for someone who wants to learn how to draw? like for a complete newbie. I've been wanting to learn how to draw for the longest time, but have always felt like it's too late and that I wouldn't be able to get good at it. the few times I've tried I've given up real fast cause I feel like I just lack any sort of creative talent and it feels hopeless and I get frustrated with myself... aaa that was a lot I'm sorry. I adore your art and find it really inspiring!! ty for reading this

There's nothing I could say here that I haven't already before so I recommend going through the ask erica tag (that I will add to this post) and seeing some of the answers I gave about this!

tldr is it's never too late, just gotta stick to it and practise which i know is never what anyone wants to hear but it's true

REPS

you need reps!!!

no matter what you're trying to do, reps is the answer

learning to compose? write a song every day

learning to draw? do it every day

learning to cook? DO IT EVERY DAY

nothing else works and this always works (unless you have some sorta massive biological block like not being able to discern pitches or flavors or something. BUT EVEN THEN, ERICA IS COLORBLIND, YOU CAN DO BEAUTIFUL ART)

if fucking pewdiepie can do it so can you

now, if your question is "how do i self motivate myself to do the reps" then we have another whole thing on our hands (imo friendly, low-pressure competition with deadlines is really helpful), but the answer is reps
