if a post says it has “# comments” and you see less than that # of comments does it mean those commenters blocked you or is it just a glitch

it could be that they blocked you, but it could also mean that their page is private and you aren't following them.
provided the posting page allows its posts to be seen by logged-out users, you can check in an incognito window. if the comments appear, you were blocked by the commenting page. if not, the commenting page is private.
comments from private accounts affect the count even if you can't see em. weird but intentional as far as i know
