Oh I love that first rain one - the motion is very jerky in a way that's really compelling, and weirdly makes it feel more real/physical than like, a video? I think it's because the jerkiness makes the rain and branches feel like they have weight when they move.
oh - absolutely.
When I first started doing gif photography I was trying to cram more frames in to make it smooth like a video but I realized pretty early on that not only did that make the files significantly larger, it also loses something.
not to get all technical but all of these are shot at 1/400 and then the frames are separated by about a .012 delay for the animation. It makes it really chunky and gives it more soul.
I also only just realized that your icon is a similar type of gif; this is incredible and also how did you get this many cats in one room.

Hahaha so uhh my partner and I run a cat rescue out of our home and that’s not even all of them. Lmao
(She took those photos but I used the same method to make the gif out of them)
