I will continue to maintain that for all the shit he's fucked up - indeed, because of all that shit he's fucked up - Elon Musk's greatest achievement very well could be killing Twitter. That Musk himself would recognize it as his greatest failure only makes it that much greater an achievement.
tbh the greatest achievement Elon ever could do would be to be the first person murdered on Mars, which would then lead to the workers taking over the base and turning the red planet into a communist utopia. Yes, it's all hypothetical, but it would be a really funny thing for him to do. So I need him to leave Twitter alone and get back to his space ships.
I can't see him making that far - not because of the technical challenges in themselves, but because of his total lack of ability to understand (much less successfully respond to) those challenges. The absolute best case scenario I could see would be his Tesla ship barely making it to Mars - the crew (Musk included, obviously) dirty, starving, and miserable from months of Musk's ineptitude - before it crashes into Mars' surface and explodes, killing every last member on board. More realistically, I'd expect the thrusters or whatever to destabilize, causing the ship to spin wildly in the air and either crash into the ground like our Mars example or just explode directly in the sky. The few people left using Twitter at this point - more likely, everybody who's switched over to BlueSky and/or Mastodon - will get the hashtag #ElonMuskFireworks trending for at least a month.
