Just seeing a blob about a glob

Good God, 43 hours and am currently level 38. I have done nothing but doing side missions that had have me explore the Vermund Region, I have been exploring every nook and cranny cause there's always some shortcut or numerous paths up the same mountain and there's nearly a cave around every corner waiting to be explored. And just when I decide to make my way to my quest destination, one of the pawns tells me of numerous points of interests all the time, so I get side-tracked with treasure chests, seeker tokens, and material! It's great.

I leveled up me and my pawns vocations to near full just enough to get the augments I wanted. I love being a thief and having my pawn as a fighter is a godsend. Currently leveling mystic spearhead and my pawn as a mage just to fill it out.

Only yesterday did I do the msq's and finally reached Battahl and it looks like ima be doing a lot of questing here as well! It's never ending, but I don't mind because it all plays so good.

I assume the main quest line doesn’t auto fail then? Like I know side stuff does over time. But I’ve played 5 hours and haven’t even bothered heading to the capital after melve lol. If I can drag the main shit out I sure will bc it’s so fun. Archer main and Mage pawn rn

As someone who's probably at the end of the game, I'm like 99% sure you can't fail main quests. Maybe there can be different outcomes but I'm not checking that till after I beat the game.

Also archer is probably tied with thief as my favorite class.

That seems so short considering how long the first game was. But does it feel appropriate? I’m actually totally here for a shorter experience lol. But a shorter RPG? That’d be a rare one.

I think they’re roughly the same length. Remember, the comparison should probably exclude Dark Arisen. I also feel like I might have missed some stuff, might go wander the first area a bit more (I keep seeing talk about elves, haven’t seen any and highly doubt they’re in the desert)

My only complaint so far is that it’s really a pretty easy game once you get past hour 4 or so. Pretty much any time I’ve died since then has been due to doing something stupid like fighting on a cliff side. At this point I’m melting through the health bars of the boss-type monsters in 1-2 minutes, not even level 30 yet.

I really hope we have a hard mode incoming, otherwise I really don’t see the point of NG+. I’m more likely to do a fresh save with self-imposed limitations (use only my own pawn, no healers, etc)

After doing just side quest stuff, I haven't really died to enemies either, only to jumping off huge cliffs or by accident. The pawns I've been running with have been close to my level as well.
