Cricks neck Whew, after 65 hours of playtime and I'm finally finished with Dragons Dogma 2. And with the True Ending to boot. First off I wanna give a shout-out to Pawn who won 1st place as Support Pawn: Bow-Kitten! They really kept those damn harpies off and prevented them from putting me to sleep. It was a magical journey. Eightz, my Main Pawn. You were my best fighter. Knocking enemies over and tanking everyone while I slash and dash with my daggers, you are the best partner anyone could ever have.
This game has been really fun y'all. It was the most immersed in a world I have been in a while. The story and its presentation may not have been the best, but the way you interacted in the world is what really sells it. The pawns really makes it feel like playing with a group and always having knowledge from borrowing other people's pawns was always neat. Right when I'm trekking towards a destination, someone always points out that there's a chest nearby, or a seeker token. It's always a great time when they mention a cave nearby and it's almost always worth it cause the rewards in there are fantastic. There's never been a gameplay system quite like DD's and I wish devs would take some inspiration from this because it's amazing.
Some criticisms would be wishing there was an Oxcart that heads to nearly all the relevant towns. I understand exploring is a huge thing for dragons dogma, but there is a limit when I want to just to ferrystone to it. Sometimes walking there can take up to half an hour, especially if encounters are included.
I really recommend this game. It's a blast and I guarantee everyone will have fun with it. 8/10
