Are people still allowed to copy music from their cd's to pc's or burn their music on to cd's? What's the copyright protection around them like these days? Does buying music online have drm on them?

What else am I going to play the ahem videos I burned to dvds in my teens on?
They're way less common now, but you can still get prebuilt tower PCs with them. And you can still put one in if you build it yourself, of course.
Just make absolutely sure you also get a SATA cable if you go that route. Some drives don't include one anymore, and it took no less than three Best Buy employees to find one when I needed one quickly.
Ah well never mind what I said then. Apparently there still some prebuilts that include cd drives.
Nah, pre-built computers don't include them nowadays. We can buy external ones that can be hooked up by usb.
If you have a disc drive Windows Media Player will rip any CDs you have. Yes, you're still allowed to do it. Even new CDs have no protection that I've ever seen.
If you buy an MP3 album off Amazon or a digital download off Bandcamp, you can download the MP3 files without any restrictions, copy them, and move them to any device or storage you want.
You shouldn't run into any DRM issues either way. Have fun!
Aay. Alright, cool! I've been wondering about that since I haven't bought an album digitally or physically for years.
