part of being in a society is seeing to yourself and providing care for others. you don't go out into public stinking. you get vaccinated so you don't put others at risk. you pay small prices to gain the benefits of being part of the whole. i think it's something worth paying and you are an infant if you put your own wants over the group's needs.
and i think resistance is part of this. i think that active resistance is a thing we do both for ourselves and those around us. to me it is good and it is right. so many social rules don't click for me but that one is apparent. but the truth is- i don't believe we will ever win. at best we are going to slow out descent. but i think this world and our lives are only ever going to get worse. i would love to be wrong. and it won't stop me fighting and doing my part. but i also don't think there is any hope for success. we can only do the best we could.
