Partheniad is a poem in honor of a virgin. It's honestly a username I don't know if I would take on again because it shades of both white knight and those greek obsessed bros who have statue avatars. The word really resonated with me because growing up AMAB I was taught virginity was a thing to lose as quickly as possibly. And like, I held off until I was in love, I was safe, and I felt ready. I don't regret it. But afterwards I was struck by the emotion that I had just stepped through a door and like... I had never once savored the innocence I had before? I had only viewed it as a status to lose and not a vestige of my childhood that I took for granted. So when I think of partheniad, that's what I think of... that dumb kid who didn't know what he had.
