EDIT: Unfortunately this doesn't load any images into the feed, but if you have access to a good full-text RSS feed converter, it gets around this issue. I'll update this post if I find a good one that's free and doesn't require self-hosting

Alright, cause it needs to be said. You still need an account to see nsfw posts and posts from someone who has their accounts labeled as nsfw.
Shoot, right, you'd unfortunately still need an account for that since Bluesky are a bunch of narcs lol >.<
I don't think any media gets loaded via the RSS feed itself. It's better than nothing but it's not good enough to wholesale replace the website.

It's unfortunate, but I think a lot of feed readers/aggregators support pulling full text & images from normal RSS feeds, so maybe check the options in your reader to see if that's possible? I used a full text feed converter to force images to appear, and that seemed to bypass the problem for me
Ah, I hadn't actually inspected the raw feed to see if it was there. I saw images loading in masto and everywhere else and assumed it was bsky just being stingy
