If grinding is such a universally hated game design element then why is Minecraft so popular?
Not knowing the specific context and speaking as someone who can get really into a grind and has burned out on Destiny 2 multiple times, I think what it comes down to what you're supposed to be grinding towards and the likelihood of burnout. As I understand it, when you're building up to something in Minecraft, it's something you've chosen to work up to of your own volition rather than a goal you've been subjected to.
