Unsure if that's intentional but I find it interesting that the main character so far seems to be the polar opposite of Velvet and is also voiced by the villain of her game.
This game still has customizable outfits but they no longer let you place accessories wherever you want on the characters.
Cowards.

The combat system feels sooooooo much better from the get go. I have a basic combo that I can always use, only special moves cost gauge instead of literally everything. No more of that mechanic where you have to break bits of your gauge to do big damage. The dodge feels nice, and the enemies have proper wind ups and recognizable key poses in their attack animations! I'm only a few hours in, we'll see how the challenge evolves but it's so nice to play a game where the fundamentals are good!!!
Hmm Rinwell's voice lines sound like they were recorded on a worse quality microphone than everyone else.
That's probably gonna happen a bunch on games produced during lockdown huh...
