I'm getting the feeling you're supposed to play Scarlet Nexus by picking the Yuito first and do Kasane's playthrough later. I picked Kasane and a bunch of the plot stuff feel like revelation twists for stuff that would be a mystery in the other playthrough.
Or maybe this story is a mess lol. It seems like a mess.
The story is some very contrived anime nonsense, but the characters did grow on me quite a bit. Especially playing as Kasane. Like lightning guy ended up being one of my favorite people to roll around and chat with.
The game does benefit by not having too much creepy anime tropes too. Like the characters aren't amazing, but there's nothing like "guy who is really into his little sister," or "sicko girl who steals other gals underwear."
