so six weeks ago a mirror (we think? some sort of large rigid object) flew off the back of a truck on the highway and hit our Chevy volt that my wife was driving and fucked it up underneath real good when it shattered. Insurance, as you can imagine, has been taking its sweet time getting the repair done, so I have been essentially without a car for six weeks (I work during the day and then Erin takes the other car for evenings)
Anyways I was complaining about this on twitter and one of my followers said he was local and was trying to sell his tesla and wasn’t driving it and could loan it to me, which was an insanely kind thing to do, and that is how I have ended up driving a Tesla model S for the past couple of weeks. just, an absurd thing to happen. It is a very weird car but i am forced to admit it’s very fun to hit it and get pushed back into my seat
