after using cohost a while, starting to realize that a lotta folks on twitter/etc ("reply guys") weren't really seeing those apps as "social media" but were using it more as "engagement farm for harvesting dopamine microdoses"

like this is ultimately what it means to "have to say something" instead of "having something to say" like its more about forcing an interaction and getting a notification rather than, idk. meaningfully connecting with another person? if that makes sense? i'm sure other people have said this more eloquently than me

oh artists love that, dont worry. im talkin more about repliers who center the attention on themselves by trying to spin a joke or a reference or something, instead of, like, giving praise or assurance

I never rechost with comment here because it feels like I'm trying to steal their thunder, lol. Plenty of folks do a good job building off of each other, but I do both separately because I'm too anxious xP

To be clear, that is a me problem :P
