Vixen. Genie. Vixdjinn!

Hi! I'm Phorm, and I'm a Vixdjinn!

A Friendly Vixdjinn Says Hello!

I'm a genie girl, who really likes being a genie, and really likes everything about genies (really)! I'm a bit confused, lost, and trying to find my way, but I always enjoy interacting with folks here. (Trans🏳️‍⚧️, occasionally NSFW, Be 18+ or please be gone.)

It has been over a year since I last logged in to VRChat. At that time I swore never to log in again, because I didn't/don't trust EAC. As well as other issues.

But damn if my resolve isn't cracking hard right now, even after a year.

I know it's a bad idea, and I will probably continue to hold out. But goddamn, that VR gender euphoria is powerful.

"Easy Anti Cheat" - A program that was pushed with an update of VRChat last summer, and frequently found in competitive multiplayer games.

It is, as the name indicates, a piece of software intended to keep people from cheating - Or in the case of VRChat, from hacking and doing nefarious things.

The software itself require that you grant it EXTREMELY high levels of privilege to your computer, which is the source of my misgivings for a number of knock-on reasons.

Ah, right those things. Yeah those are basically malware themselves. I assume there's no way to remove it without causing problems either? Iirc, I've heard of people removing stuff like denuvo to make games run better, but I don't know if that locks you out of online stuff...

More or less, yeah. And if not malware itself, it could become malware at any time. And there's additionally potential for it to be exploited by a nefarious third party as a massive backdoor.

So far as I can tell, it is possible to remove EAC, but you will be denied access to any program that requires it. I know VRChat will lock you out entirely.

You know, I HAVE heard about ChilloutVR, but what makes it a little challenging to get into is that most all of my friends with VR are on VRChat, and seem to have little interest in moving. I mean, I do confess that it seems like VRChat has a higher concentration of people, worlds, and models.

Maybe it's worth it to take a peek around there, though, even if I'm alone. Just for the good gender vibes! That's a really good suggestion. Thank you.
