Thank you! Back when I started playing VRChat (2021, I think?) there weren't many genie avatars at all (let alone a way to search for them). I think I was able to stumble upon a few ill-fitting Shantae avatars, before a friend found this one for me? Again, the base wasn't necessarily SFW at the time, so I had to commission some tweaks to the model, but once they were done I was so super happy with the result - Even if it was strictly human-esque. I'm sorry that they've gone missing, too. If I were still playing VRChat at all, I'd do what I could to fix that, but alas...
When it comes to other avatars and what I think of them: Well, I confess I stopped playing VRChar before any of the others really became available. That being said, I did eventually see the sale page and YouTube showcase for HollowHarts' 'Arwa, Keeper of Wishes'.
Holy wow!!! That is everything I would want out of a genie avatar in terms of genie features!! A smoke tail, a lamp, and a way to enter and exit the lamp?! Just amazing!! HollowHarts did a phenomenal job in my opinion, just from what I saw through the showcase video. Of course, that particular avatar wasn't exactly SFW. Which means it'd be hard to find opportunities to use it - And beyond that, I'm pretty sure it got pulled down and torched when Gumroad decided that they were going to bow to the puritanical powers that be (Payment Processors). Combined with the fact that I don't play the game anymore, and I suppose my thoughts can be summed up as "admiring enthusiastically from afar".
Illumes' model I confess I haven't seen! I may have to go searching for that one.
And yes, quite agreed about the lack of furry genie avatars being available - if for no other reason than just about every other kind of furry avatar is already out there! I did try to commission a couple of custom avatars specifically for VRChat, but for various reasons the commissions fell through. Honestly I have a bit of a commission curse when it comes to 3D models
