So, it's the 11th hour. It's the nadir of the third act. Heading into the pivotal moments of the final confrontation.
The chips are down. The odds aren't great.
Your OC has one last ditch effort to make it out. This is it.
What music starts playing?

Hi! I'm Phorm, and I'm a Vixdjinn!

I'm a genie girl, who really likes being a genie, and really likes everything about genies (really)! I'm a bit confused, lost, and trying to find my way, but I always enjoy interacting with folks here. (Trans🏳️⚧️, occasionally NSFW, Be 18+ or please be gone.)

there are a lot of answers I could give but the closest, I think, is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kISiXthzFks
I can absolutely see this.
And now whenever I hear this song, I'm going to think about Garudina about to fuck shit up.
I might have misunderstood the assignment (warning: heavy metal)
going directly into boss fight: https://youtu.be/UJ4Nel-aHZM?si=rs7y2AAYarcpJLd3
if there's a montage before the boss: https://youtu.be/Vz_4mhbdjCk?si=WpIZM30Cy0xqegUl
Ooooh, that's a really good setup. I like the montage leading into the fight, and both musical pieces are excellent. This paints a rich narrative!
I'm thinkiiiin' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUIBm_2LYUY
I have a whole playlist for songs that feel related to my 'sona and their origin story, and most of them are some flavor of angry, so it's not too hard to find a go-to fight theme.
Hits hard, clear, strong. Really excellent selection!
I totally get what you mean, too, about having entire playlists for your origin story. That's really awesome too. Thanks for sharing!
Olafur Arnalds - Happiness Does Not Wait.
It's probably playing while everything is coming apart in every direction; the atmosphere is venting, gravnet's fucked, the water I was just drinking is -boiling-, and the bridge is coming apart rivet by plate.
Then I'm back here again, and whoever I was visiting had a great run and did a lot of good where they could, and I don't know how long it'll be before I wander off again. But today I get to see my people and remember their faces and tell them how much I love them (but, usually, not how bad I missed them).
Okay, this is pretty evocative. And I can absolutely see this backing the scene you describe. It's vivid and poignant. It feels particularly made for zero-G and desperation.
Thank you for sharing.
Hell yeah, Art of Noise!
This is an excellent theme for you in this situation. And I'm not just saying that because I always hear "How Rapid Is Rapid" as "How Rabbit Is Rabbit" <3
Aside: Have you heard the song "The Anthropocene" from Small Saga? It has some vibes in common here.
Oh, that's got some good thump to it. Really driving. Awesome stuff! I can see it backing an excellent showdown.
(Aside: Wow, I was completely unaware that Shadow Warrior 2 had bangers like this in the OST.)
I'm hoping Amphy would eventually have her own music, something maybe resembling this from 2SfH?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFqgHRO_bCo
But for a dramatic, no-holds barred moment, I still have no substitute to "To Glory", even if it's not a piece that's unmistakably "Amphy".
Oh wow, very neat. I am particularly entranced by the orchestral swells in both pieces. There's some significantly potent energy and drive behind both - particularly "To Glory". I can see them fitting perfectly.
Also, I sincerely hope you're able to get Amphy her own music! That would be super DUPER cool.
Thank you ever so much for sharing!!
I've already got someone lined up for a possibility but they're more into electro music so it might end up looking a little more like a Shantae piece.
(Or maybe even like this, who knows XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LsBt1h81Ko)
... Alright, now I'm off to listen to Dance Through the Danger on loop again :p
(But seriously, I'm also keeping a lookout for the possibility of an instrumental piece, it would be amazing)
That's super awesome and I hope it pans out! Notably, when I commissioned a piece, I very much leaned on Shantae as a point of reference ^.^;; For better or worse she's always going to be a pretty easy point of common comparison.
Oil ocean is a really good piece to put in the mix as well, heck. I've never put that together, for all my sonic playing! Excellent point.
(I'm not sure if Jae is taking commissions anymore, but I will still highly recommend them without reservation, and with enthusiastic praise!)
YEAAAAAH TWO STEPS FROM HELL
Mathieu Goddamn Bonvents does nothing half-assed, least of all fighting to save the family he's found after so long being without, and for a future with a chance of peace he can finally see gleaming on the horizon like the dawning sun.
So with every last fibre of his being singing as he rises back to his feet,
HE SETS HIS [SOUL ABLAZE] ONE FINAL TIME.
Oh wow. I was not familiar with this piece before, but this rips hard!
I can absolutely see that being the fuel to a wicked rising up.
Also, I very much appreciate the way you paint the picture itself. Very, very good <3
It's cheating, but The Touch by Stan Bush is so iconic, Daniel Warren Johnson didn't even need the lyrics when he drew this.
But assuming we want a song from this century, you can't go wrong with how hard "Kings" by Jose Pavli goes. https://youtu.be/bh85GHBe6xY
It IS an absolute classic for a reason, after all. You can't go wrong with that song playing as your backing! (Also, heck yeah, that's awesome. I had never seen those panels!)
Kings goes harder than I might've thought, too. Positively good accompaniment to the final confrontation. Thank you for sharing!

The centipedes writhe and grow.
Hell yeah hell yes hell yes
I love the Katana Zero soundtrack. I have it on rotation in my car, and when this one comes up I'm always imagining some epic scene.
Excellent selection, and very you. Thank you for sharing.
