Vixen. Genie. Vixdjinn!

Hi! I'm Phorm, and I'm a Vixdjinn!

A Friendly Vixdjinn Says Hello!

I'm a genie girl, who really likes being a genie, and really likes everything about genies (really)! I'm a bit confused, lost, and trying to find my way, but I always enjoy interacting with folks here. (Trans🏳️‍⚧️, occasionally NSFW, Be 18+ or please be gone.)

@kossai asked:

is there anywhere else that phorm host genie thoughts and questions ? that is what kossai will miss about cohost , as outlet for very casual nonhuman questions and thoughts !

This is one of the big things that I'm going to miss most about CoHost, and I don't particularly know where to find a suitable replacement. The ability to take questions on genie lore (and potentially Transgression lore) is something I absolutely want to be able to continue with in the future.

Right now, I don't really know how to do this without subscribing to a website entirely dedicated to taking such question submissions - which is way less appealing that having it built into the platform. Tumblr, of course, offers this option. However, I'm a bit wary of Tumblr, given the acts of their management and their unpredictable behavior toward queer content and people. There's always just replies or direct @ type posts on any given platform, but I know some people very much value being able to submit anonymous questions (And, I'll be honest, the concept of non-CoHost anonymous questions scares me).

That's a tedious and longwinded way of my saying: It's very important to me, and I'm looking into it. But at present, I don't particularly know what the answer is.

If I figure anything out, I'll absolutely update here, though!

That's a good suggestion!

Pillowfort is honestly a platform I need to research a bit more, I confess. I've dragged my feet because the user base over there feels just a touch hostile to me (There's some very vocal hate for CoHost over there). That being said, I should still give the platform a fair shake. That kind of stuff happens everywhere, after all.

Hopefully some worthwhile opportunities come up!

Not a fan of Tumblr, both for that capriciousness you noted as well as their structure. It was my single biggest social media account by far, but two hours a day curating that got a bit old.

Pillowfort's original selling point was being an alternative to tumblr so it has some of the same challenges when trying to find a post, but it has been stable for a reasonable length of time.

I hope for the same, very much! Pillowfort seems like it is well worth investigating, at this point. I need to dig into it a little more, but between that and Dreamwidth, I think I'll at least find a place for stuff to land.

If anyone would find it or care for it is another story, but that comes later for sure.
