Vixen. Genie. Vixdjinn!

Hi! I'm Phorm, and I'm a Vixdjinn!

A Friendly Vixdjinn Says Hello!

I'm a genie girl, who really likes being a genie, and really likes everything about genies (really)! I'm a bit confused, lost, and trying to find my way, but I always enjoy interacting with folks here. (Trans🏳️‍⚧️, occasionally NSFW, Be 18+ or please be gone.)

If you are an artist of any kind - If you draw, if you write, if you paint, if you make digital art, if you make videos via any method, if you make music, anything - If you create from your heart and with your own intention and skill, I support you. I will continue to support actual artists of any kind however I can as you bring your creations to life. Even as we exist in a time when people are desperately trying to normalize and justify plagiarizing, homogenizing, generative AI slop - I will support your efforts above and beyond what that disgusting firehose spits out.

I'll promote your work, I'll champion your creations. When I'm able, I'll gladly pay a premium on commissions for your effort and your talent, and I'm not going to stop, no matter what. Even if you raise your prices!! You're worth it!!

What you're making is infinitely more valuable than what moneyed and corporate interests are trying to flood into the mainstream. Your creations deserve to flourish.

Keep creating, and know there's always going to be at least one person rooting for you.

This is compliment beyond what I deserve. Thank you so much for saying so <3 I, ever and always, love the work you share (regardless of medium).

I'm going to be going over to Dreamwidth as soon as I can wrap my head around it, I think. So hopefully I can keep up with your work, and share my own, into the future.

Artists are amazing and it's wild to see the most tedious people in our entire society come directly and shamelessly for them.

This decade has me feeling as though I'm living in a succession of cheesy 80's movies about saving the community center but even so, this last iteration is absurdly on the nose...

I couldn't put it any better myself, honestly. It just feels impossible, and yet, here we are.

I wish we could be in a situation where we aren't constantly experiencing crisis and calamity, to the point where even if we survive one, the next one is already on the way.

I'd been saying for decades that the music industry has been trying to devalue talent, because talented people are a wild card, they're bad for business, they have something you can't take away from them and which they can shop around; it's far better to cultivate untalented celebrities who are utterly disposable and beholden to you for their non-accomplishments. So this is the solution to the problem of creative people in the arts and media generally: you devalue authenticity and teach people to be satisfied with low-grade imitative slush. Which I'm not sure is going to work; it might work if you have a human pretending to be a singer-songwriter, but I'm unsure people will form the kind of meaningful emotional attachments which make for good consumerism to media which spontaneously farts itself out of the void.
