Niche Games Enjoyer

Average person in their 20s. View Backloggd for my taste in games. I swear it's really good! And to clear up confusion, when I say "PMD", it always refers to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", which is another series I love!

Play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Freedom Planet 2! And Solatorobo, and PMD: Gates to Infinity; those games have been shaping my preferences considerably!

SPOILERS FOR GAMES 2+ YEARS OLD!

That first link shown above, is where you can find the thousands of 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon portraits I sorted with the help of Emmett Eon; very good stuff!

Un-gravitify [Main Menu]/Kieron Cashell - Un-gravitify (Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity [2008])

Welcome to the best menu theme I’ve heard in a spinoff so far! Although an instrumental of the original vocal track, it actually differs quite a lot, in ways that make it extra-fitting for its menu purpose. It’s no exaggeration to say that the Strings, whether a Violin or something bigger, play the greatest part in making this simple track nothing short of legendary!

The original also puts up quite a fight, focusing as much as possible on the empowering fantasy of racing with the game’s cool hoverboards. The first time you hear it, the Electric Guitar makes the tone as clear as day; a serious and competitive mood that lets itself go in cool and intense melodies! The genre mix of some Rock and some Electro is also self-evident. From there you can guess how the rest of the track goes, but when it’s that good, that’s hardly a complaint!

Although I can’t say I had proper experience with Zero Gravity, I am a fan of the racing game genre who’s a former Sonic fan too, so it’s of little surprise that the 1st Sonic Riders is my favorite Sonic game ever made, getting a high 3.5/5 stars from me; this alongside Tails Adventures are the 2 only Sonic games you’ll see me wholeheartedly recommend as of this writing, although hopefully I’ll learn to favorite more entries as I progress through the remaining set of games I’m interested in!

Also for any Sonic fans tuning in, the 6 track per franchise limit means there’s only 2 tracks for it left, which I’ve carefully chosen later in the list; I’ve listened to as many tracks as possible for these franchises, and Sonic will still take up a good chunk of tracks I like, even outside this list!

(Length [Both]: 4+ minutes)

Fixed a big mistake I made, where I linked the vocal track twice instead of the different menu theme first. Thats been fixed now, my apologies
