Niche Games Enjoyer

Average person in their 20s. View Backloggd for my taste in games. I swear it's really good! And to clear up confusion, when I say "PMD", it always refers to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", which is another series I love!

Play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Freedom Planet 2! And Solatorobo, and PMD: Gates to Infinity; those games have been shaping my preferences considerably!

SPOILERS FOR GAMES 2+ YEARS OLD!

That first link shown above, is where you can find the thousands of 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon portraits I sorted with the help of Emmett Eon; very good stuff!

Jodel is a man everyone in the city of Olai has grown to trust on a level unseen by many others who held his position.

A living legend in the making according to the children of the town, various schoolyard rumors were started around his dutiful nature, quiet demeanor and battle-scarred body. Some say he personally arrested over thirty criminals on his first day. Some say he got his scar fighting off a feral dragon on his own. Others still say his sword can harm even demons.

The truth is somewhere inbetween for all of them. He did personally arrest many criminals on his first day, by flushing out a corruption ring within his knights. While he has fought a dragon, it was a sparring match with the village's kobold blacksmith. And while his sword can and has harmed demons, it truthfully only takes a stern belief in their mortality to render them vulnerable. But while he freely admits these things to his peers, he never ruins the magic around children, merely letting off a sly wink and a little smile when they ask him.

Those who know him personally, however, see a very different man. One whose burdens weigh heavy on his mind, and who pushes himself past his brink in the name of redeeming his title in the eyes of those he protects. He sleeps only as much as needed, eats only as much as needed, and while he tries to make time for his wife Seltina and his daughter Saiyel, he's always as punctual as ever and doesn't often get the chance to take the time to unwind with them. But it's Saiyel's fight to join the ranks of the guard to his initial chagrin that showed his devotion to keeping his family safe, and for the sake of seeing her grow, he often refuses to give her direct orders, instead deferring them to his Lieutenant Arkus to offer at his own leisure in order to create a layer of professional separation.
